Being together doesn't always mean doing the same thing...

For this session, I wanted to explore the relationship between a mother and her daughter through two different experiences of the same moment. The mother as an emotional point of connection. The daughter free to explore, move, discover and look ahead.

Rather than directing them into a series of poses, I created opportunities for interaction and let the experience unfold.

The way I photograph a relationship is just as important as the relationship itself.

I look for more than two people looking at each other. Sometimes, connection is found in a gesture, a shared space, or the quiet reassurance of having someone nearby while you explore the world on your own terms.

The result is not a collection of moments that all say the same thing. It's a way of seeing how two people can experience the same place differently and still be part of the same story.
